Nioh : The Legend of Nioh story trailer

Koei Tecmo has released the first video in a series of Nioh story trailers, this one introducing “The Legend of Nioh.” Additionally, Koei Tecmo hosted the second of Nioh‘s monthly live streams today, in which it showcased 20 minutes of scattered new gameplay footage.

This Legend of NiOh trailer is actually an animated cutscene that gives us a glimpse of the game’s story. The trailer is also titled “Part 1” which indicates that more story trailers like this will soon follow.

As Nioh is a Playstation 4 exclusive the game will also support PlayStation 4 Pro. Sony has officially revealed that the game will feature four different display modes for PlayStation 4 Pro.

Nioh (is an upcoming action role-playing game developed by Team Ninja for the PlayStation 4. It will release worldwide in February 2017: it will be published by Koei Tecmo in Japan and Sony Interactive Entertainment internationally. Gameplay, which has been compared to Souls series, revolves around navigating levels and defeating monsters that have infested an area. Nioh takes place in the early 1600s during a fictionalized version of the Sengoku period, when Japan was in the midst of civil war prior to the ascension of the Tokugawa shogunate. A sailor named William, in pursuit of an enemy, arrives in Japan and is enlisted by Hattori Hanzō, servant to Tokugawa Ieyasu, in defeating yokai that are flourishing in the wake the warring daimyo factions.

Nioh is due out for PlayStation 4 on February 7 in North America, February 8 in Europe, and February 9 in Japan.
