Nintendo and DeNA are developing a game in The Legend of Zelda series for smartphones.
The Wall Street Journal is reporting that the company will launch a Legend of Zelda mobile game, while the report also claims The Pokemon Company is planning another card-based title for mobile devices.
According to its sources, the previously announced Animal Crossing game for smartphones will be released in the second half of 2017, and The Legend of Zelda game will follow. Although they did caution that the timing and order of releases could be changed.
Nintendo’s mobile game partner, Japanese game developer DeNA, is working on the untitled Zelda mobile game. Nintendo and DeNA declined to comment when approached by WSJ.
